According to this article in The New York Times, Prospect Park Alliance, Prospect Park's fundraising arm previously headed by Tupper Thomas (and now headed by Emily Lloyd, the current park administrator), indirectly received $4 million from disgraced former state senator Carl Kruger, to pay for the skating rink.
