Dogs of Harriman

When we hiked in Harriman a few weeks we came across at least half a dozen dogs, all but one unleashed. So the following from Datnioides was no surprise:
Dogs are supposed to be walked on a six foot leash in Harriman State Park (Bear Mountain). However, this numpty is brazenly breaking the state park rules, bragging about it on his website, and encouraging others to do the same. With little to no enforcement I'm sure he's rarely been inconvenienced by a park ranger. God forbid anyone should encroach on woofy woofy's playtime!!!

Dogs are not permitted off leash in Harriman State Park.

Dogs only, must be muzzled and on a leash not more than 6 feet. Not allowed in buildings, camping, picnic or bathing areas or on walkways.
